Synopsis/Details
Diana and Javier are at the beach with their developmentally-challenged 10 year old son Simon and Golden Retriever, Buster. They live in a rough part of town and make treks to the beach when they can. Diana becomes frustrated when Javier wants to leave early before the sunset to miss the traffic. On returning home to the Vista View Apartments they fight about their living conditions. Diana wants to move somewhere better. Meanwhile, a company called Concierge is launching another of their managed communities in a coastal locale. One day, while dress shopping, Diana finds the Concierge shop. She brings Javier back for an appointment. Javier and Diana are introduced to the Concierge Experience and are encouraged to commit. They ask to think about it first. After discussing it they decide to move to Concierge. Javier is surprised at the extent to which Concierge manages every part of their lives. They are introduced to Connie, their personalised Concierge AI. Not only is Connie a 2D avatar, she can also exist as a 3D entity with the help of Augmented Reality glasses. Javier and Diana are initially very happy in the neighbourhood. Diana becomes pregnant again. After they have a break-in, things take a turn for the worse when Connie convinces them to get a fully integrated Concierge Security System installed.
