Synopsis/Details
In the pilot, Alice’s cousin, Bruce, is dealing with a vandal who flooded the men’s bathroom at his roller skating rink, Dorothy’s. Alice takes it upon herself to go visit the suspected perpetrator, a high school senior, leaving Bruce by himself. Bruce makes a phone-a-thon to get money to fix the bathroom and mediates between a dueling drag king and queen, who both want control of the DJ booth. After Alice meets the suspected vandal, the closeted gay son of an incompetent city council member, she realizes that she must help this kid and out of righteous anger (and equal parts spite) decides to run for city council to usurp the South Boston councilman.
