The Writer: D.J. Birch

Duane, or D.J. as he likes to be called, grew up in Phoenix, Arizona. He began studying film in the sixth grade, renting from Blockbuster, borrowing from his friends, and raiding his parents’ collection. Websites like IMDb, Wikipedia, /Film, and YouTube helped him expand his knowledge on film until he became known as the school “movie buff”. This title remained with him even in college where every film student was there school’s movie buff. In middle school, D.J. began binging television through the Netflix DVD service. Every week he’d receive a disk from a Lost season box set and binge the entire four episodes on that disk, then send it back right away. Lost became his favorite show and… Go to bio
