I studied film in collage 30 years ago at The Ohio State University. Dropped out my Senior year. Was an Eastman Fellowship finalist in 1991. Spiraled into drug addiction and ended up homeless and lost everything. Got clean and started on my current journey. I finished a feature length script in August of 2013. Took me almost 10 years to finish it. Shopped it around and had some nibbles and then gave up. Just binge watched the Netflix series "The Queens Gambit" and read that it took 30 years for the project to come to fruition. The series was incredible. Great writing and a wonderful story. It fired me up. That's why I'm here asking this question. In the 10 years of writing my original feature length script I had to cut out over 50 pages of writing to make it fit into the average industry length. Thank God I saved all the drafts and the scenes I cut out. The world is changing. Seems like the streaming mini series is what the world of cinema is coming to with the Covid nightmare. I made some notes and changes and would like to transform my script into this new and wonderful format. I have a strong original script, tight synopsis and I'm currently working on improving the treatment. Saw a YouTube video with Shane Stanley and he mentioned this site. I decided to make the hero of the story black to help address many of the current political and social problems we are facing. Plus it provides another major obstacle for the main character to overcome in the story. I'm a White guy.  I think it would be very helpful in making the script much better by having a black writer to collaborate with. How do I go about finding the right person?  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Just found this site tonight.  I don't have a ton of money. I work as a Maintenance man by day. Lol...
