I am under the impression after reading many articles from the WGA, that pitching of script during the strike is not allowed to either members or non-members of the WGA, yet sites such as InkTip are listing those companies that are actively seeking scripts for different genres.   ??????

Yeah, I've noticed the same vagueness and questionable behaviour since the start of the WGA strike. Some websites have a rather ambivalent attitude of, strike is happening, oh well, business as usual. I've paused a lot of things online and taken a big step back.

It all comes down to crossing the picket line. Pitching, querying, having conversations, that's okay, if you're comfortable with that. Signing contracts, accepting payments from anyone who's affected by the strike is crossing the picket line. Contracts and payments from anyone who's not affected, that's okay, but I'd advise reading everything carefully. Anyone who's unwilling to have open conversations and insists on taking your money during a strike, is probably trying to take advantage.

Many independents are not affected, but chose solidarity. Some independents are ignoring the strike completely, since they're not WGA members. Strange times.
