Synopsis/Details
Following the Mark’s most successful marketing campaign, Fluffmellow, Michael Adam, the firms top marketing executive has been given the news that he is dying of stage 4 pancreatic cancer. With only a few months to live, he gives up on himself, life and those around him. A bizarre set of circumstances brings him to the apartment of his co-worker, Rodney Glowacki. Upon entering, he finds Rodney dead from a self-inflicted gunshot to the head. As though that were not shocking enough, he comes face to face with a miniature talking Marshmallow Man who claims Rodney was his friend. After the initial shock, Michael realizes he isn’t crazy and this Marshmallow Man may hold the secret to a serene and beautiful place Michael has created in his mind. The two set out on a journey to find a heavenly mountain lake followed by the police, who have found evidence that Michael may have had something to do with Rodney’s death. Embarking on the journey takes them to a mountain cabin that was owned by Rodney. Way outside of his comfort zone, Michael adapts to the backwoods experience with his new friend and a canine companion named MoDucker. The surreal existence is short lived when Anna King, a beautiful South African blonde appears and claims the cabin is hers. Tension ensues as Michael and Anna struggle to trust one another and find safety in their coexistence. Anna is certain Michael is troubled as he seeks for his friend, the Marshmallow Man who is nowhere to be found. Meanwhile, things at The Mark, begin to crumble as unauthorized and illegal broadcasts of the Marshmallow Man begin to appear on national television in what appears to be a targeted campaign to destroy The Mark and its clients. Citing the moral and ethical breakdown of society, the ads begin to win the hearts of millions of viewers. In a race against time, Michael falls into a desperate search for truth – who was Rodney Glowacki and who is Anna King, only to discover that the Marshmallow Man may have been responsible in bringing them all together in a shocking turn of events. Dramatic, humorous and inspiring, Marshmallow Man will win your heart and soul while leaving audiences cheering for life and an adventure of their own!
