Synopsis/Details
Sergeant Joseph Zingle was stationed in a secret, decrepit, and immense building in Ukraine near the Russian border. He was in line at a makeshift mess hall with a couple of buddies when a bomb exploded, killing several soldiers and civilians. Julia Browne, an acrimonious, beautiful woman visiting her brother, a soldier stationed in the same base in Ukraine, is thrust into the kitchen by her brother before a second bomb goes off. A fire erupted, forcing Julia to seek shelter in a nearby oven. However, a large beam fell from the ceiling in front of the large oven, trapping Julia. With fire raging throughout the building, the flames come perilously close to the oven Julia is trapped inside. Unable to get out, the rising temperature forces Julia to cry for help. Desperate, she tries morse code. Meanwhile, Zingle is treated for injuries when he is told people are trapped in the back of the fiery building. He rushes from burning room to burning room, looking for any survivors. He is about to return to the mess hall when he hears morse code, locates Julia, and finds a way to free her. Julia is thankful, and flirty banter between the two ensues. Together, they must flee the inferno but run into a trio of Ukrainian civilians who are Russian sympathizers. Two try to kill Sergeant Zingle, and the other one wants Julia for himself. One of the civilians tells Zingle that the Kremlin knew the American military occupied the building. The two bombs were in retaliation for interfering in Russia’s affairs and for the abduction of three Russian generals by Sergeant Zingle and his two buddies. After the confrontation, Zingle is shot twice by other Russian sympathizers. Just when they think they’re done for, Zingle and Julia are rescued. Three years pass when a snowstorm hits the Midwest. Forced to work, despite the snowstorm and freezing temperature, Julia stumbles upon a car on a country road that had veered off the side of the road and down a steep ravine. When the man is rescued, Julia doesn’t recognize him due to his injuries. But the man knows Julia. Joseph Zingle forced a weakened and diminished hello, resulting in Julia’s recognition and utter jubilation. But before the two marry, they must endure more pain and heartache. Find out the turbulent yet comedic story of how two strangers met, separated, and meet again, showing that, despite overwhelming odds, some people were meant to be together.
