The GREAT OLD ONES have awoken, and with them death and madness has rapidly spread across the globe. Still, there are a few that remain untouched by the grip of insanity, and it is a pair of such individuals that we now find ourselves following. A survivor's guilt-ridden RACHEL CARTER, and her spirited brother RORY, as they navigate deep into dark folklore infested woodlands of England, where the DARK YOUNG, followers of the great old one, “THE BLACK GOAT OF THE WOODS , SHE WITH A THOUSAND YOUNG”, now call home. The pair soon find rescued at the last-minute from one of the ELDER GODS CULTISTS by another survivor in this nightmare world, the seemingly pleasant NATHAN. Wary, the pair accept the NATHAN’s of food and a warm place to stay. Over a tense dinner NATHAN opens up as he tells the pair of his own tragic backstory, and the dark awakening that saw the Great Old Ones rise up. Finally gaining each others trust the trio call it a night and head to sleep. Nightmarish memories plague RACHEL’s slumber, as he relives day the world was plunged into darkness. Awakening to find herself back in the real world, RACHEL sets about exploring the cabin and the esoteric tomes it contains within. Drawn to one such tome, the LIBRI EX CAPRA., Rachel begins to read aloud but is interrupted by her now mutated host revealing himself to as twisted devotee to THE BLACK GOAT OF THE WOODS himself. After a brutal and terrifying confrontation, both RACHEL and BROTHER manage to escape with their lives. burning the cabin to the ground – but not before taking the Libri Ex Capra with them.
