Ellie and Nate make a pact so they can find resolution on whether there is something beyond this life or not: whoever dies first needs to leave a message to the other. Years later, a long while after they broke up, Ellie finds out that Nate has died in a car accident. Soon she encounters a message that leads her into something she didn't really want to be part of...
