An old government experiment goes horribly wrong in a small Nebraska town, unleashing giant insects to kill the locals.

Cosmic sludge, hidden for centuries in a small town's pond, breaks free infecting a swarm of mosquitoes which changes their DNA where they later use their human prey to incubate their spawn causing a swarm of mutated humanoids to emerge and attack the small Nebraskan town.

Spencer, a struggling writer, just wanted to get away from the city to write his next novel not knowing that he may be the main course along with a few other survivors he meets in the small town in the countryside. After a few close calls with death, the remaining survivors get help by an aging ex-military scientist who knows a little too much of what's happening and knows how to stop it, but first, they need to stay alive in order to do so, but it's going to be one hell of a night!

The Writer: Arturo Portillo

I am an award-winning screenwriter, director, and editor. In 2016 my horror screenplay AMONG US won Best Screenplay in the H. P. Lovecraft Film Festival in Portland, OR. A creature-feature in the vein of TREMORS and CRITTERS with a mix of GREMLINS. I wrote my first script when I was 11 years old and through the years, I perfected my writing, honed my skills, and found my writing style. I have written over a dozen full-length screenplays and shorts. I have worked as an actor in several indie movies and studio movies, as well. I was approached to write a horror/slasher script for a filmmaker in Florida in 2011. In 2013, the movie was completed, titled DIE DIE DELTA PI , which is out for rent... Go to bio
