Synopsis/Details
Drew and Neil, two friends and students in Tennessee, expected turmoil only from their tempestuous love lives, but at Easter an outbreak of super tornadoes edges its way towards town. On top of this, a serial killer (in a seasonal bunny mask) is on the loose and suddenly the storms are the least of their worries. While Drew wants to protect his new girlfriend, Danni, she is not sure she can trust him, despite having fallen head over heels for him. In the meantime, the girl Neil fancies becomes one of the murderer’s victims. As the body count clocks up, the killer taunts the clueless law enforcers. Signs of satanic influence and religious motivation are ignored and ridiculed. But perhaps it is true and are there “more things in heaven and earth” … More realistic than ‘Halloween’, less comical than ‘Scream’, (B)Easter is the first part of a trilogy. It transcends the boundaries of the traditional slasher genre to combine with elements of demonic possession, but never degenerating into improbability or nonsense.

The Writer: Christine Jokiaho

I was born in Germany to Finnish parents, learning both languages as I grew up. Being an only child encouraged me to turn to reading for companionship, particularly during summer holidays at our isolated cabin in the Finnish woods, and writing was the natural progression for a stirred imagination. In my teens I developed a love for Shakespeare and, preferring to read originals rather than translations, I forced myself to brush up on my language skills. This turned from chore to passion and now I mostly write in English. When not writing, I enjoy travelling, hiking, cinema, music and visiting museums and galleries. Go to bio
