Broken Monarch

THE BACKGROUND: During the Vietnam War, the CIA’s secret MK-Ultra program used Monarch mind control programming to train Delta forces and create assassins. Many of those involved left the war with no recollection of their training. Instead, the lead normal lives while being sleeper agents waiting for instruction. Other programs beneath the MK-Ultra banner included the Montauk Project housed in a secret, largely underground base at Camp Hero, in Montauk. Disguised as a quaint fishing village, the base was the site of time-travel and portal-opening experiments. Rumors of the base, acquiring disadvantaged youth from the city to use as test subjects abound. It’s from these origins that our hero, Glenn, arises and from which he desperately seeks to escape. THE STORY: In 1979, Vietnam vet Glenn experiences chilling episodes of lost time, when a mysterious woman enters his life holding the disturbing key to his past. He unravels a sinister plot to kill the First Lady and a dark conspiracy that threatens his sanity and life. Through the pilot, Lindsey, Glenn’s former handler, helps him to realize his situation and that he is the would-be assassin in the plot he’s discovered. In the following episodes, he continues to peel the layers of the conspiracy, now determined to eliminate him. Each episode contains a complete story while advancing the narrative and unraveling the conspiracy’s dark layers.
