Synopsis/Details
Edna is jailed after stealing money from the Salvation Army, placing her family in a challenging situation where they have to resort to begging on the streets to raise her bail money. Pops, feeling torn between bailing out his granddaughter, and taking money on the streets, does not disclose his earnings to his daughter, Martha, Edna’s mother. Pops visits Edna in jail and she demands that he use the money they collected to pay her bail, but Pops discloses that he used the money for a good cause instead, hoping that his good deed may ultimately save Edna from a life of future crimes.
