Synopsis/Details
King Uther Pendragon marries Lady Ygraine de Bois. King Loth, an Incubus, and Anna le Fay, his wife, are among the wedding guests and after the birth of Prince Arthur, Anna arranges Ygraine’s kidnapping for her demon husband. When Uther goes to rescue his wife, Anna double crosses Loth by giving Uther Excalibur, which he uses to slay the Incubus. However, Uther’s ingratitude causes her to swear revenge before escaping with her son, Mordred. Ygraine gives birth to Loth’s child, a Cambion whom she names Merlin before Uther orders the court physician, Kent, to take him to a new home. Kent travels to the Lake of Avalon where his former lover, Nimueh, takes Merlin in and raises him as her ward. Twenty years later, Merlin leaves the Lake of Avalon in the hopes of finding his mother. He meets Aliena, Kent and Nimueh’s granddaughter, during the search and upon arriving in Camelot, he learns that he’s Ygraine’s son. Whilst trying to connect with his mother and avoid the hostility of Uther and Arthur, Merlin falls in love with Aliena and eventually admits to her that he’s a Cambion. After discovering that Merlin is not only his half-brother but a Cambion, Arthur banishes him and Aliena. Shortly afterwards, Mordred starts a war on Camelot while Merlin and Aliena stay with Nimueh. Upon learning of the war, Merlin and Aliena return to help Camelot. Uther is killed by Mordred, who escapes to reunite with Anna. Uther hands Excalibur over to Arthur, who admits that he was wrong to banish his half-brother. After Kent dies of old age, Arthur is crowned King by Ygraine. Aliena and Merlin get married and have a daughter whom they decide to raise in Camelot.

The Writer: Thomas Norton

Hello everybody. I'm an autistic screenwriter who specialises in writing complex, nuanced characters. I've always wanted to be a storyteller of some kind and eventually settled on screenplays. It took me a while to get the hang of them since my original writing style was very different but being on the spectrum has helped my storytelling become disciplined and focussed. However, although I'm good at putting ideas, stories and characters on paper, I hate putting my face on camera (the photo's only here because I thought it was mandatory), I struggle with social interactions and I constantly wonder if I'm stepping over a line that I'm not aware of. I try to be professional but struggle with… Go to bio
