Chippy and the Pink Balloon

A pink balloon is stuck on Chippy the Chipmunk's bottom fur, thanks to a burr. This gives Chippy the impression the balloon is following him, and therefore must be a friend. After they spend the day together, Pinky the Balloon floats up and away. The next day, Chippy finds what is left of his friend deflated on the ground and believes he has been murdered by a monster. He scans his surroundings for a place to hide and finds a jagged soda can sitting on bench. He hops in and soon notices a small piece of pink latex stuck to the can. He has put himself in the belly of the murderer. Soon a little girl comes along and helps Chippy understand the nature of balloons, sharp objects, and friendship.
