Synopsis/Details
In the dead of winter under the backdrop of Toronto, a University Student wakes up on the subway to being attacked by a masked stranger, evading capture he comes to find his own apartment over run by armed criminals performing some sort of smuggling operation. Forced into the snow with no information on what’s happening, Oliver finds himself taking refuge at Old-Classmate Denby’s downtown apartment. Unable to tell Denby of his situation, Oliver goes around the city investigating and seeking answers while also slightly falling for Denby, as Oliver investigates he begins to realize that his situation is a lot deeper than he could’ve thought and that his whole identity may be a lie. Oliver’s investigation comes to head when he and Denby are confronted by the man behind what’s going on, who ends up being the real Oliver who is working with a clone of himself. At this confrontation Oliver ends up killing the Real Version of Himself, but unfortunately Denby end’s up losing her life and Oliver is forced out into the snow once again. With nothing left to lose and no real identity, Oliver decides to break into his old house to question the criminals there, after a violent exchange Oliver end’s up finding out his role as a Clone in a long running human trafficking scheme that had been run by the “real Oliver”, killing the last of the criminals Oliver heads out to confront the last player alive, the other Oliver clone. In the Climax Oliver confronts his Clone in the real Oliver’s Luxury Downtown apartment, originally planning on killing his Clone, the confrontation ends up being a conversation between the two clones, with the older one realizing how lost he has become he decides to let Oliver Go and being his own man before killing himself. The Film Ends with Oliver leaving Toronto, with no identity and with the “real” Oliver officially being dead, it’s time to start a new.
