Synopsis/Details
When a fellow sergeant is killed ("fragged") by his own subordinate, John Cornett is given the unenviable task of escorting the culprit back to their main base behind the lines. "This whole country is the front line" however, and with four others under his command Cornett faces not just the unseen Vietcong and harsh country but his own guilt in America's most infamous conflict. As casualties mount and odds increase between Cornett and the murderer, the dark jungles of Vietnam threaten to swallow more than just one man's sense of goodness in himself in the place where soldiers were asked to leave their humanity behind for their countrymen.
