Dark Raiders

Three space archeologists discover ruins of an ancient civilization on a distant planet. Two of them, Julia and Paul, uncover a mysterious stone idol and rendezvous at their ship. The third one, Eric, does not. He’s disappeared. With a solar storm closing in, the two decide to abandon him and fly back to Earth, where they auction off the idol and amass a sizeable fortune overnight. Cut to 15 years later, Julia and Paul are the number one space archeologists. They are icons. But now, suddenly, strange events start plaguing their lives. A high-ranking official accuses Julia of colluding with criminals and seizes all the company’s assets, while Paul’s wife and daughter fall ill to a mysterious disease. Julia reveals that she’s recently been having dreams about Eric begging her to come back. Paul says he’s been having the same exact dream. With no other way of traveling to that planet, they accept an invitation from a newcomer into their lives, a suspicious character named Rhino. On his ship, Julia endures a whirlwind of traumatic events. She survives an assault, witnesses a murder, and suspects she’s being fed human flesh. Driven by paranoia and guilt, she starts to believe that Rhino is Eric, coming back from the dead for revenge. Rhino finally reveals himself to be Eric’s disowned brother, Sam, a human trafficker who had long waited to exact revenge on Julia and Paul for deserting his brother on that planet – which he will now do to them. A fight breaks out and the ships crash lands onto the planet, with Julia and Paul as the only survivors. Julia searches the ruins and learns that the planet is protected by a radioactive energy field that retains the qualities of living organisms. It must have absorbed Eric’s last thoughts and spread its radiation onto their suits all those years ago, explaining the dreams. Shockingly, Sam emerges still alive and kills Paul, right before Julia kills him. Seeing that one of Sam’s accomplices was tailing them all along, she collides the ship into his, sacrificing herself in the end.
