Synopsis/Details
After his release from prison, 26 year old Clay Hamilton makes his way back to Los Angeles where he attempts to start a new life in his old town. His friend Charlie helps until he can get back on his feet, much to the dismay of his girlfriend Gina who takes an instant dislike to Clay.
While Clay's former flame Olivia is now married, her sister Veronica wants Clay more than ever. Unfortunately, so does Olivia. Olivia has married the well-connected but weak Brandon Bailey, who is immediately concerned that Clay is back. He sends Detective Clark to give a physical warning to Clay.
Olivia arrives at Clay's apartment and cannot hide her love for him. Initially Clay resists, but eventually he too gives in.
Later, Clay finds himself in a seedy downtown bar. When a burlesque show starts, he is startled to see Veronica on stage. Clay is torn between separating Veronica as a little sister type and the now fully grown and gorgeous woman in front of him. Knowing this, Veronica does her best to tease him into accepting her as more than the kid he remembers.
The next morning, Olivia decides to surprise Clay. Brandon senses that something is not right as she leaves. He makes a call to Clark and follows her.
Arriving at Clay's apartment, Olivia walks in to see a half-dressed Veronica. A flood of emotions overtake her and she verbally lashes out at her sister and Clay. Clay feels for Olivia but knows they could never have a future together. Olivia's fury reaches a fever pitch when Brandon makes himself known. Olivia breaks down and begs forgiveness, but in a crime of passion, Brandon shoots and kills Olivia.
A struggle ensues between Clay and Brandon when Detective Harris arrives. To save Clay, Veronica shoots Detective Harris with Brandon's discarded gun. Clark finally arrives and sees his Detective and Olivia dead while Brandon pins the murder on Clay. Clay and Veronica flee down the fire escape and a manhunt is on.
It begins a violent race to make it to Mexico while avoiding the Law and an odd assortment of characters from pro-wrestlers, Greasers, albino snake handlers and the over-the-top Odell Stewart. All out for revenge or the $5,000 reward.
