Synopsis/Details
Paul, an unhappy and dissatisfied reality tv producer for a Bachelor-type show, learns that his estranged father has died. He returns home to Palm Springs to arrange the funeral and settle his father's estate, which mostly consists of a run-down, mid-century dive bar on the outskirts of town called The Hideout. Fully intending to cash out and sell The Hideout, Paul contends with his helpless, ne'er-do-well brother, Bear, who is clearly in over his head with some sort of illicit activity, navigate a potential romance with the funny and sweet but emotionally distant bartender Josie, member of the local indigenous tribe and social work grad student, as well as deal with the elderly barflies and college kids who rely on The Hideout for a sense of community. Just when Paul thinks he has it all figured out, a figure from his father's past emerges, threatening to take away everything.
