Synopsis/Details
In the tradition and style of shows like "Mad Men", "Downton Abbey", and "Boardwalk Empire" this series would go back in time, and examine a world, we only think we know. It is the mid-twenties. The great war has ended, and America has risen as the world's supreme power, not only exporting business, but art and culture. The Jazz age is in full swing, and thanks to prohibition, speakeasy's can be found around every corner. The AGE OF CELEBRITY has begun, which fuels the dynamic, vibrant energy of the time, reflected in its heroes - Mary Pickford - Babe Ruth - Louis Armstrong - Charles Lindbergh - and, of course.... Charlie Chaplin. Many, only in their 20's, yet already icons of their generation. And in, Los Angeles, where a new art-form has taken the world by storm, the little town of Hollywood has become a mecca to all those seekers of fame and fortune. But unfortunately, in Tinseltown, not all golden roads lead to the emerald city.
