Aris and Taja ascend the throne of Dalcon after a bitter struggle, ending the age of the Dragon Clan Wars. Aris now carries the burden of a whole species on his shoulders. When his reign and choices have some negative affects on their charges, Aris finds himself under an unforeseen threat and disappears. As Taja reigns in her brother's place, the hidden threat does not leave her unscathed and Taja faces heartbreak and loss once again. As she continues her search for her brother and the answers that elude her clutches; her magic directs her into a new time and land. Armed with knowledge gathered from her visions, Taja sets in place the factors and people that can possibly find her brother and heal the rift in her land. When Opal is found as a baby and adopted into the royal family of Pirel, little does she know exactly how much her future will alter. Being one of the Xanadrin race, Opal ages very slowly, and at the loss of her close family, and the threat of selfish men who would use her powers for greed; Opal flees her home into the land of Dalcon and the arms of her adopted great-grandmother, Lady Taja. Opal desires nothing more than to life a long live with her loved ones, what new threats await her in a new land, and can she break the bounds of time and save Taja and her people?
