Synopsis/Details
We follow a young boy, Brace, as he grows up in the Old West and learns from his family what he needs to know to make it in the old west and learns the lessons he needs to be a man and do the right thing, as much as he can, until he meets Falena and finds himself wanting to leave to avoid the potential of what they could be because though she tries not to, Falena attracts many of the wrong kind of people and when she finds herself in trouble, she turns to Brace and his friend Clu for help and all of their lives become entangled in the harsh way of life that is the Frontier and each of them makes choices along their way that will affect their lives more than any of them could possibly know. We meet familiar characters who help them along the way and wonder at what it was like to taste the dust of the trail and sage in the air as they try to protect themselves which sometimes leads to them hurting eachother, and doing so even when they can see the danger coming, like an old steam train with no brakes. Their home is at times beautiful and always dangerous though rest can be found when its needed most along with friends who are willing to help even when the risk is great to everyone involved.
