Garlic For Shayna

Garlic For Shayna is a film about the trials faced by a couple after the return of a mutual friend once thought to be dead. However, instead of the friend being killed, she was converted into a vampire who had come back to reclaim her fiancee, now married to her one-time best friend. In the opening scene we see Shayna in the library talking on the cell phone to her fiance, Thomas, urging him to come and spend time with her after a long absence. However, Thomas, also a student was in a battle to save his academic life, therefor making him less available to his future wife. Attending every lecture was paramount. It was, unfortunately, soon after that call when Shayna's two kidnappers arrive, mysteriously, at the library to capture her. The next time we see Shayna, she's converted into the vampire making her presence known to Thomas's wife, Loretta, as Shayna, with the help of four mystical female beings, causes Thomas to crash their car on the way from Thomas's job interview. Both of them were knocked unconscious, yet, after a time, Loretta came to, to face the angry, one-time best friend condemning her for marrying the man Shayna was, at one time, slated to wed. Thomas now condemned to a wheelchair, due to the car crash, he has to suffer Loretta's incessant claims that Shayna is still alive. There relationship begins to suffer under the weight of what seems like insanity from Loretta's mouth, then begins to suffer even more after Shayna's Zoom call verifying Loretta's claims. It was during that Zoom call when Shayna not only told Thomas elaborate lies about her living out of state after freeing herself from her captors, but saying that while out of state she learned a technique for rehabilitating paraplegics. During that call she urged Thomas to welcome her into the home so that she could fix his problem. Loretta being totally against Shayna entering their home, she spreads garlic and vinegar and, with a pistol, wards off anyone who would try to clear the lawn. There are other characters in Garlic For Shayna that contribute to the many twists and turns in the script written simply for fans of the genre without any purposeful social commentary in the attempt to make it relevant.
