Housebands

Four husbands in one city find themselves passing arbitrary tests and all kinds of pushes and shoves - these from the pressure of roles switching - when they find themselves as stay-at-home husbands and or dads. The Norths are a family of three. A well off family that has moved to the current city when Mrs North (Christina) got promoted as a chartered accountant. Her husband, Christopher then had to quit his job to follow this dream. They are a perfect example of how a man can hold down a family even when unemployed. The only problem he faces is a widowed Sandra from down the block who hits on him daily. So desperate at one point she pretends to go jogging chasing after Christopher in high heels. Imagine! As he is a very build and active man , he becomes a threat to his neighbour Richard. Richard is in his 50s . He took on an early retirement money only to spend it all on a new sports car , much to Elizabeth’s disapproval . Because of this , Elizabeth now denies him sex as punishment. On the other hand Richard thinks that’s only because in one argument of the car , Elizabeth refused to get into the car and opted to walk to work. In high heels and a temper, she found herself tripping in the streets. The contents of her handbag spilled - in them a jiant vibrator. Richard had not been giving attention to his sexy wife ,the only thing that mattered to him was his car . Elizabeth works for Bethany Flynn. An attorney who is married to a loose canyon of a husband Martin. A rolling stone . He disappeared for a year only coming back after he lost his job . Bethany being a control freak was already aware that Martin is jobless . This is another character of Bethany that drives Martin crazy among others like her being so timid about sex, her domineering self and being a daddy pleaser . Daddy’s word over everybody’s. Bethany is exactly the same character as her brother’s wife Mary . A magazine editor who lives by routine. She is married to Peter Flynn. Peter couldn’t face telling a pushy Mary that he was unemployed,instead kept pretending to go to work on a daily only to return after she was gone . Things take a turn when secrets come to the open . Mary surprising Peter at work on his birthday is how she finds out he is unemployed, but Peter has a comeback,he knows she has been taking contraceptives without his knowledge. Christina suddenly catches attitude after another man ridiculed Christopher’s unemployment. Martin loses his cool and decides he now wants out . On the other hand Richard gets into ER after an attempt to please Elizabeth by keeping up jogging with a much younger Christopher. These families eventually learn that respect is the glue that bonds spouses. Respect,attention and acknowledgment.Even though Peter and Mary do finally admit they are better off apart.
