In Ancient Sparta a child is born. A warrior spirit unlike any other, destined to seek victory in battle or to be doomed to return in his next life until he does. He is killed in action, the final Spartan at the Battle of Thermopylae and spends thousands of years locked in a cycle of war, death, and rebirth. He is the hero of countless last stands, present at the most pivotal battles of human history, but always on the losing side. He nearly breaks the cycle in the Martian Independence war against Earth. His name is Zoroaster Manu, the “Z-Man”. Saving Mars from Terran extermination, he achieves legendary status with a desperate suicide attack that destroy the Terran fleet. His true love, Sedona, is also killed in this final battle. 25 years later he returns as Leo, a Martian miner. He catches the attention of celebrated war hero named Felix, when he single handedly defeats a squad of Felix’s highly trained Olympians – Pilots of mech suits called Gun-Frames. Felix is convinced that Leo is the reincarnated spirit of his best friend, Zoroaster Manu, from the Martian Independence War. With an impending 2nd Terran invasion coming, Felix knows Mars will only survive if he can find the next "Z-Man" to once again pull victory from the jaws of defeat. He convinces a very reluctant Leo to join the Olympian Corps and prepare to fight off the next Invasion. Dominion, the ruler of Earth, is hell bent on avenging the death of his son who perished in Manu's suicide attack. He has created a new device, part woman, part A.I. Supercomputer, which will control his fleet of killer robots with faster than light communications from Earth. The woman at the center of this device is Sedona, who possesses the reincarnated spirit of Sedona. This romantic spirit has sought out her lover for 5,000 years across time as they have been trapped in a cycle of reincarnation as the ultimate warrior seeks victory, and the lover seeks her love. Leo must quickly master use of high-tech combat mechs called Gun-Frames and find the courage in himself to go from an orphan nobody to the savior of Mars as Dominion's fleets launches an all-out assault that annihilates the Martian Navy and lands swarms of HK’s on the Martian Orbital Battle Station called Olympus. Once again, the cycle has come round - a hopeless situation against impossible odds, one man thrust into the breach with the weight of the world bearing down on him. But this time something is different – Sedona is fighting to wrestle control of Dominion's military supercomputers from the inside. It is down to the wire as Dominion rushes to kill the reincarnated savior of Mars before Sedona can take full control of his Command-and-Control system. Leo assumes his role once more and leads a heroic last stand to save Mars, and once again is killed in action. The cycle would be doomed to repeat once more, but Sedona is now equipped with God-like powers, heals her fallen soldier and restores his spirit, raising him from the dead, simultaneously defeating Dominion and breaking the cycle of reincarnation once and for all. The two spirits reunite on Earth where Leo is finally recognized as humanity's greatest soldier. Leo and Sedona are now rulers of Earth and Mars.
