Synopsis/Details
Jim McGrath, 31, suddenly begins to have nightmares where he buried someone alive remorselessly. And the guilt from that murder in his dream begins to disturb him while he's awake. Jim suffers for two weeks before his girlfriend returns form an official trip and offers to take a few days off to be with him. Jim and Ashley plan a destination-less road trip to take his mind off the nightmares and begin to drive southwards. When they stop at a motel, Jim's nightmare reoccurs and the next morning, they discover a shovel, the same one he sees in his nightmare everyday, in the trunk of their car that scares them. While driving they notice a red Volkswagen with a white stripe on the side - the same one from the nightmare. Ashley notes the license plate number and obtains the address from an associate. They reach the address and find the red Volkswagen has followed them. The man in the car is Peter Hastings who claims to have the car since 1987 and it was never stolen. He points a gun at them but Jim and Ashley talk their way out. On the way, they meet a cop who points that their taillight is broken, something hey hadn't noticed before. To get the taillight fixed, they go to a small repair shop where the owner, Mick notices the shovel in the trunk of their car and casually asks them why they need it while on vacation. Ashley jokingly says it is for burying a body. Mick reveals that he heard a story that a few days ago, someone buried a man alive, taped to the driver's seat, in his own car. They find out that he heard the story from someone called Big Baldie at a bar called Wolf Pack. Jim and Ashley go to the Wolf Pack and find Big Baldie, aka Jason Stiglitz drinking in a corner. Jason tells them that he heard it at a local Flea Market where he works at his sister's shop sometimes. The nightmare reoccurs and Jim couldn't be more determined to find out the truth. Jim and Ashley drive to the Flea Market the next day and meet Peter and Jason there. They discover that the story originated from a person called Little Merl whose shop was closed today. A homeless man encounters them and tells them that he knows the story and is willing to tell them. He asks for $20 and offers nothing in return. This makes Jim lose his temper and he punches the homeless man. While driving away from there, Jim breaks all speed limits and scares Ashley. She urges him to stop and takes the wheel. While changing over to the passenger seat, Jim notices that they’re in a serene location and to his right, is the same single tree that he has been seeing in his nightmare. He takes her to a spot on the empty land and says that this is the exact place from his dream and points to a place where he apparently buried the man alive with his car. The return at night to find out Peter and Jason have started some construction work, for which, they have brought a huge digger and one thing leads to another and they realize that the scenes from his nightmare have been recreated by him and Ashley. Did they? Or Not? P.S.: Withholding the climax. Read the script for the climax.

I'm Deepak. I write because of my constantly burning desire to tell stories. I believe that there is no joy bigger than the one you see in the eyes of a person when you tell an enchanting story. I get high off of finely written lines. I wrote five books, two of which are novels. I have a day-job, but I mostly day-dream of seeing my name on the big-screen. My journey has has just begun. I am two scripts old, and I am working on more. Go to bio
