Synopsis/Details
Izzie, and her friends, Brad and Susan, go visit Pete, the Guru, who has a brother, Max, known as the Tard. Izzie is a rhymer, but Max is a hopeless failed comedian, with an undisclosed past that made him reject himself and life in general. Izzie tries to help Max find himself. They go on a road journey but get nowhere, except they find an auction where the fixtures and fittings of a courthouse are being sold off, as justice is now going online. Max buys the gavel and sounding block. They go back home, and Max gets an obsession to build a small pond in his garden. He gets the pond built and fills it with water. Izzie reflects that Max is pond life. Max remains morose until Izzie and Susan kiss him on the cheek. This act of love opens him up to the future and he agrees that he is grateful for his life.

The Writer: Peter Gartner

I wrote a few screenplays a while back, but now I have a place to submit them. At the moment I am painting in watermixable oils and have a gallery at FineArtAmerica. I am concentrating on art now, but if there is some interest in my screenplays, I could submit more. I start with "The Lightship". I have now posted some more. I want to create original scenarios with surprises for the audience. I do not want my scripts to be predictable. The unusual is always best. A script should be a journey. You don't know the destination, but you will enjoy the journey getting there. I like to explore the psychology of my characters, to give the story more depth. Also, there is now a link to my paintings… Go to bio
