Synopsis/Details
The story is about JULIAN ASSANGE, who helps whistleblowers to expose the wrongdoing of powerful organizations and bring truth to the public. After losing an appeal against extradition to Sweden for questioning over sexual assault, he flees to the Ecuadorian embassy in London in 2012 as he fears he would be handed over to the U.S. for exposing classified materials. Although Assange is granted asylum, the British police are stationed outside the embassy, waiting to arrest him. He fights for his freedom with political means. However, the U.S., U.K., and Sweden refuse to drop their cases against him. Assange is accused of working for Russian intelligence when WikiLeaks publishes emails from the Democrats in the 2016 U.S. election. To make matters worse, a new Ecuadorian government that wants better ties with the U.S. takes office in 2017. A new ambassador arrives and attempts to expel him from the embassy. Assange must hatch a plan to stop the extradition or stand to lose all that matters to him.
