Synopsis/Details
Fran Delgado's greatest wish comes true when her out-of-state, online boyfriend comes to visit his father nearby... the only problem is she's not the person she's pretending to be. With the use of "VidTune"--a controversial new app which offers seamless filters to transform oneself into another person--Fran has constructed her own fantasy world to escape the abuses of her volatile and vindictive mother, Ruby, as well as the strangers who constantly look down on Fran for her status and weight. As the fantasy starts to collapse, Fran must decide whether she will go down with it or face the young woman she truly is. A tragicomedy and antiheroine tale for a near future that may already be here.
