Synopsis/Details
Dominique Francois is many things: undead, unbothered, and unrepentantly complicated.
Turned in 1800s Haiti and sharpened by centuries of heartbreak, she now prowls modern-day New York City with a killer blowout and a standing reservation for revenge. By day, Dominique runs Francois International — a once-grand, now-fading hotel held together by espresso shots and vampire-grade denial. By night, she trades tailored blazers for silk and fangs, delivering punishment to cheating men in the form of seductive humiliation... and the occasional bloodletting. It’s not just a job. It’s family tradition. Coven-sanctioned. Soul-cleansing. Highly lucrative.
But beneath the crimson-soaked ritual lies a craving more dangerous than blood: intimacy. Real, unsanitized, no-glamour, human connection.
That craving becomes carnivorous when Victor Wagner — a brooding, heartbroken photographer with a half-packed suitcase and zero idea what he’s walked into — checks in. He’s warm, wounded, and irritatingly sincere. The exact kind of man Dominique is supposed to ruin. But instead, she starts to fall for him. And that breaks all of the rules.
Rachelle, Dominique’s baby sister with an angel face and serial-killer urges, isn’t thrilled. She believes mortals belong on menus, not in hearts. While Dominique pines, Rachelle plots — her own romance, her own rebellion, her own bloody uprising.
And just when things couldn’t get worse, Olivier — Dominique’s absurdly well-dressed, ego-drunk ex and her coven-assigned fiancé — resurfaces. He’s a pompous peacock with a secret longing for mortality and a matching superiority complex. Unfortunately, he’s not entirely wrong: Dominique may have to marry him if she wants to keep her coven intact.
Meanwhile, in the deeper shadows of the city, ancient powers stir. Xavier — a cult-leader vampire with gospel charisma and apocalyptic plans — is on a mission to recover sacred artifacts and awaken The Messenger, a mythic being whose idea of peace involves human extinction. Following him is a ghost in a leather jacket: Hunter Marks, aka The Vampire Slayer. Scarred. Half-turned. Holstered. He’s here to kill them all — Xavier, Dominique, every last bloodsucker — in the name of a lover long lost to fangs.
As these worlds collide — duty and desire, heritage and heartbreak, politics and prophecy — Dominique must choose: obey the bloodline or rewrite her destiny.
Because love may be eternal. but survival is not.
