Synopsis/Details
What if one of the greatest tragedies in America gave rise to a new type of leadership? This is a story of how a nation redeemed itself after the devastating mistreatment of Asian- Americans from 1918 through the 1940s. Our protagonist is
strong and steadfast, a young Japanese-American man forced to relocate to an internment camp with his family after the Pearl Harbor bombing in 1941. His experience in the internment camp ignites a passion within him to lead and serve his community as captain of his block. Later when he attends university, his political ideologies become more informed and he gains experience in student leadership. Until finally he makes a commitment to run for President of the United States. Although heavily opposed at first, America begins to see past their prejudices and racism and start to resonate with our
protagonist’s platform: equality for all, regardless of race, religion, and gender.
