Synopsis/Details
Oona's having a great Halloween, hitting up all the parties with her sorority sisters, then they find some cute guys to smoke up with in the graveyard. She takes a nasty fall, and the next thing she knows, she wakes up in this underground Celtic tomb with a guy calling himself Shadanda, who tells her she's dead and she's got to journey down to the sea and take a boat to heaven.
She doesn't believe him, but at the same time, there's nothing normal about this Halloweenland. Everything's dead and dark, and it's filled with wraiths - demented souls of humans who've become transformed by this hellish purgatory.
She just wants to get back to her life. She can see what other people remember about her, and it's not good. She thinks if she can just make it back through that gate Shadanda's guarding, she can get back home and put everything right in her life. The queen of this place, Morrigan, tells Oona if she can get a few little relics, the gate will open and she can go back home. So Oona sets out with three Celtic gods to help her on her quest.
They face the Fomorians, basically the "bad gods", all kinds of wraiths, a hellhound, and Watchers - these seraphim with flaming swords that come to attack anyone who's up to no good mainly Oona once she steals a sacred scroll.
As her companions die, she learns this isn't just sending them heaven. They're experiencing the last moment of their death for all eternity. So she's going to reopen the gate not just for herself, but to bring back her new friends who've died helping her. Over the course of the movie, Oona goes from a typical sorority girl, to an all-out hero, to the lamb of God who brings on the apocalypse. But at least now she'll be prepared to deal with it.
