Synopsis/Details
Graham Michaels was recruited to join the NSA's WATCHER program due in equal parts to his background in military intelligence and his well documented lack of empathy. As part of a three-man unit, he spends his days in a tricked-out surveillance van disguised as an ambulance, where he watches, listens and bugs his targets. He knows not who he spies on, or even what the real mission is. He simply studies and takes notes. That is until a woman collapses outside his fake ambulance, and against his better judgment he intervenes, saving her life. Is Graham a changed man? He’ll have to decide fast, because the Intelligence Community is no place for a man with a burgeoning Hero Complex. 'The Conversation' meets 'The Bourne Identity'

The Writer: Danny Katz

As the son of a book publisher, I’ve long regarded the English language as something of an art form. My pops and I like to trade literature back and forth, blathering on endlessly about whatever we’re reading at the moment. David Simon’s Homicide: A Year on the Killing Streets and George V. Higgins’ The Friends of Eddie Coyle have had the biggest impact on my literary point of view. As a writer, this has manifested itself in my obsession with procedure, bold dialogue, and societal plight. Go to bio
