Synopsis/Details
42-year-old widow Jonah Lazarus is a TV news producer in Seattle and today he has a flight to catch. While waiting at the airport, however, he receives a call alerting him to a shooting at the high school where his son Danny is a senior. Jonah races to the scene and slips through the police perimeter, only to confirm his worst fear – Danny is dressed in black and armed to the teeth. Jonah finds and confronts him, taking a bullet in the leg. In the aftermath, Jonah wakes up in two separate realities: (1) Working with the school nurse, Vivian, Jonah helps some of the wounded while going deeper into the school to search for his son; (2) Jonah finds himself back in his bathroom, first thing in the morning, with a second chance to relive the day. In parallel timelines, Jonah struggles to prevent Danny from following a dark and violent path.

"Your voice is as fresh and unique as any I’ve stumbled
across in my years of development, and that’s really saying
something because I read thousands of scripts every year
and I’ve never read anything quite like this – well done! I
think you’ve done a really excellent job of establishing
yourself as a unique storyteller with an inherent voice
that’s unlike anything we typically see on screen at
present."

The Writer: Bradley Greenburg

I'm a professor of English lit and film in Chicago and a novelist ( http://sandstonepress.com/books/when-lilacs-last-in-the-dooryard-bloomed ) with one novel out, one currently being submitted by my agent, and another almost finished. I've also published a handful of short stories and one Pushcart Prize-nominated poem. I started writing screenplays a bit over a year ago. This is the first complete one, with two more right behind. All three drama/thrillers. Go to bio
