The Skuggibarn circle dates back to when six vicious boys terrorised the villages below. They blinded livestock, set fire to barns and chicken houses and fouled the drinking water. They attacked villagers with sticks and stones and invaded their homes at night.
Some say these malevolent brats were changelings. Children once switched with human babies by faeries or demons, turned feral. Finally - as punishment - they were turned into stone parodies of human children. The Skuggibarn Stones.
