Synopsis/Details
There are countless tales of man attempting to play God. They always end badly. From Frankenstein to Westworld, attempts to synthesize a human being invariably are fables and morality tales demonstrating that it never pays to mess with Nature. But what if it went right for a change? Or at least not horribly bad?
We follow the debauched, hyperactive, lifestyle of Magnus, a product of a human synthesis program that has gone well. A little too well --- even more so than the program's architects realize.
There have been a lot of recent advancements made in the fields of artificial intelligence, cell tissue culture and applied physics. This twisted creation tale incorporates some of this research, including that on recurrent neural nets, photonic crystal optical memory systems and the very best in gut flora engineering.
One of the ironies of the script is that the DARPA agent, Jones, perpetuates the pseudo-scientific opinion of the Alpha Male---a concept the researchers responsible for the original concept, in wolves, have repeatedly attempted to denounce.
Production: This requires eleven actors, including three kids around twelve, and the most beaten-up muscle car you can get your hands on. And a lot of empty Tylenol bottles.
Be on the lookout for the 'poop transplant' reference!
