Synopsis/Details
Henry Nears, a former CIA operative, is shattered by the tragic loss of his wife, a death tied to a covert mission that spiraled out of control and ended in a violent act of vengeance. Overwhelmed by guilt and sorrow, Henry takes his own life, believing that death is the only path to peace and reunion. However, what awaits him beyond the grave is not solace, but recruitment into a mysterious and otherworldly organization known as the Guardians. Existing in a spectral realm that straddles life and death, the Guardians are tasked with a solemn duty: to prevent the dead from breaching the boundaries of the living. Now armed with his training, spectral weaponry, and the forbidden knowledge of the afterlife, Henry is given a mission unlike any before. A rebellion is brewing, one that threatens to collapse the veil separating the two realms and plunge the world into chaos. To stop it, Henry must navigate a purgatorial quest filled with lost souls, shadowy alliances, and enemies both old and new. As memories of his past life haunt him and betrayal festers within the ranks, Henry is forced to confront the man he once was. In the end, redemption may come at the cost of everything he has left, even his final chance at peace.
