Synopsis/Details
Rhaeger's Return is a fish-out-of-water story about a video game character manifesting in the real world. Rather than the superficial humor of injecting game tropes into the real world, the goal of the series is to use the perspective of Rhaegar's foreignness to draw humor from modern life. For example, Season 1 would focus on Rhaegar getting a mindless corporate job where he immediately excels. Many parallels would be drawn between work life and video game mechanics, but the point is to satirize our lives, rather than games or gaming culture. The universality ensures that the series is accessible both by gamers and non-gamers, rather than an endless series of in-jokes only appropriate for a niche audience.

The Writer: Thomas DeCarlo

Thomas started making live-action films in high school and produced his first ultra-low-budget feature film before he was 20. After college, he turned to computer animation and spent the next decade learning the animation process before completing his first major animated short, The Encounter. As the writer, director, producer, and animator of the film, Thomas won numerous awards at festivals around the country. Through DeCarlo Animation, Thomas is focused on creating sci-fi and fantasy stories that primarily appeal to adults, though many are appropriate for the whole family. Outside of animation, Thomas writes in a broad range of genres, primarily for small and ultra small budget… Go to bio
