Synopsis/Details
In the year 2084 the United States is comparable to that of Third World Country. Conventional sports no longer exist. There is only Risk: An underground survival show, held in an arena where 99% of the crowd is killed off in a game of survival of the fittest. If a person survives, they are given a 1 Billion Dollar cheque and if they don’t, they join the millions of other people who risked their lives for a chance to become rich and escape their poverty-stricken lives. During the 21st Century Americans had become bored and disinterested with once popular sports like Hockey and Basketball due to their repetitive nature. Fans began to intervene with the games, harassing the players which resulted in riots and deaths inside the arenas. Even Mixed Martial Arts was deemed boring, so the fighting corporations added lethal weapons to draw more interest into a declining sport. However, the American people could no longer afford the luxury to go to such shows due to a collapsing American economy. By the year 2084 only one underground sport existed: Risk and it was headed to Chicago. The Chicago Arena would be host to “Risk” and there was one young man who would not miss it for the world and his name was Casey Mason. One of Casey’s fondest memories was of his older brother John saying goodbye to him before heading off to a “Risk” concert. The two brothers make a powerful pact that if John dies at “Risk” Casey will avenge his brother’s death. John dies that very night. “Risk” is a graphic futuristic horror/thriller that keeps the viewer guessing, never knowing what will attack Casey, his friends or the crowd next. “Risk” takes the horror genre to the next level with its unique Arena/Horror environment making the viewer feel like they themselves are trying to survive the bloody mayhem that is “Risk”. Imagine being at a concert in a 18,000 capacity arena where there's a rock band on a central stage with an overly enthusiastic M.C. that announces what death will be coming your way next - That's "Risk". “Risk” is unlike any movie ever made. It will be the first Arena/Horror of its kind and could start a brand-new genre. “Risk” was created and written to be a box-office hit and will draw the audiences due to its nail-biting, edge of your seat entertainment. It was designed to be a trilogy and could even be as long as the ongoing “SAW” saga due to the unlimited possibilities of what can happen at a “Risk” show. This movie takes entertainment to the next level. Now isn’t that what entertainment’s all about? Imagine it in 3-D? Oh yes.

The Writer: Aaron Buck

The sole reason I sit down to write a screenplay is to create a story I've always wanted to see come to life on the big screen. My script “Rome 4100“ is just that. It's as if “Star Wars” and “Gladiator” got together, got married, and then had a bad-ass baby. If you enjoy my stuff, make sure to check out my children's books on amazon.
