Synopsis/Details
Sam and Joy meet in summer school becoming instant friends. Not rich or popular, both girls struggle with the school hierarchy and the constant reminder by girls like Maddie to stay in their lane. As romance between Lucas (maddie’s boyfriend) and his life-long childhood friend Joy intensifies, the feud only grows stronger. One afternoon during summer school the boys are excused for football tryouts. Angry at the male privilege, Joy and Sam ask to attend the tryouts if only to watch. But when they step into the locker room and jokingly try on the uniforms, they decide to attend tryouts incognito. With Sam’s love of football that she shared with her late father, and Joy’s amazing kicking skills from soccer, the idea takes on a life of its own. With the help of a few unlikely friends, Joy and Sam enter into the world of Women’s High School tackle football. But will their new venture cost them their romantic relationships?
