Synopsis/Details
Four young Italian men embark on a daring marijuana smuggling mission from Switzerland to Italy, seeking adrenaline and weed, while facing relentless pursuit from undercover police through the majestic, snow-capped Alps. The episode opens at a customs checkpoint on the Swiss-Italian border, where Chiodo, Mela, Vecchio, and Sizza anxiously await a drug search. Despite a strip search triggered by a small piece of hashish found in Chiodo's wallet, they are allowed to head back to their hostel. Here, they meet Igor, who sells them the stash. A well-connected friend informs them that the customs search has triggered police suspicion and undercover cops are already on their trail. Reacting with a mix of surprise and determination, the boys decide to leave for the Alps before dawn. Meanwhile, two undercover officers, Esposito and Carmelo, keep watch. Esposito is hot-tempered and foul-mouthed, while Carmelo is just going through the motions. They have orders to track the boys, but their next move is uncertain. At dawn, the boys quietly leave the hostel with their alpine gear, moving stealthily through the small town. Their backpacks are full of gear and, of course, the stash—50 kg to be exact! However, Esposito soon spots fresh footprints and starts tracking them. As the chase intensifies, Esposito and Carmelo struggle through the snow. They spot the boys in the distance but are slowed down by the fresh snow. Esposito, unable to keep up, fires warning shots. Eventually, one shot hits Sizza, wounding him. Despite the injury, the group presses on, improvising a sled for Sizza and continuing their journey towards the safety of the forest. As they struggle through the snow, they reflect on their dire situation. With the cops still on their trail and Sizza injured, they face a daunting journey ahead. The boys reach Cavloc Lake, where a hut is located. As they rest, Vecchio notices smoke coming from the hut's chimney through his binoculars. The group debates their next move, suspecting tourists might be inside. Sizza, semi-conscious and feverish, needs urgent attention, prompting the group to approach the hut despite their reservations. Inside the hut, they encounter Denise, a beautiful young Maltese girl, and Poppy, an English blonde. Denise, a paramedic, offers to help Sizza. Despite initial suspicions, she performs an impromptu surgery to remove the bullet, impressing the boys with her skill. During the procedure, Mela and Denise exchange subtle glances, hinting at a budding connection. As the boys recover in the hut, they realise they must continue their journey after a helicopter checks the area, probably looking for them. The group debates their next steps, aware that the snow and the cops are significant obstacles. Denise decides to join them, arguing that her medical skills are crucial for Sizza’s recovery. Despite initial resistance, the boys agree, and Poppy, after some hesitation, joins as well. Together, they set off through the snow-covered landscape during a strong snowstorm, determined to reach Italy. The journey will be treacherous, with the boys relying on Denise’s medical expertise and their determination to evade the relentless pursuit of Esposito and Carmelo… all while navigating dangerous terrain.
