Synopsis/Details
There is a myth among the Cherokee of a creature named SPEARFINGER. She appears in villages and towns without warning and claims victims without mercy. She is also a shape-shifter and can take the appearance of anyone. She has an enemy in the STONE GIANT, who can manipulate rock and move mountains at will.
For reasons unknown, these two mythic monsters team up to terrorize a family living in the country. The youngest son, Rick, is the first to notice the supernatural forces. His father is taken, then his brother, and it is up to Rick, to find a way to save them.
Along with a Cherokee mystic, and a fairly grumpy fairy, the boy sets off to find his father and brother, escape from the two creatures, and make it home alive. His mother and sister also help in the rescue.
During the fight, Rick learns how creatures like SPEARFINGER came into being and what it takes to become a man.
