Synopsis/Details
Episode 1 - Hoarding: Full Of It Modern day Torrance, CA. In a nondescript house lives DIANA RHEA, a hoarder. She’s all alone. Well, she has her cockroaches and rats. She doesn’t seem to realize or understand the condition in which she lives. She meets MARILYN TEETS, clinical psychologist and GEORGE RAMAKIN, a counselor, who are here to help her with her hoarding issues. On cleanup day, a crew of 1-800-CRAP cleaners arrive with their big dumpster truck and enthusiasm. Diana Rhea’s behavior is very unsettling to everyone. She mourns the death of a cockroach named Tabitha in a cockroach funeral and eats rat feces, claiming they’re raisins. Her son, JONAH, shows up to help with cleaning but his relationship with his mother is clearly strained. Things come to a head when a flattened, mummified corpse of a man is found inside the house. This is a first for the show. Flattened cats are the norm… but a human!? Diana Rhea believes that it’s her long lost husband CY, but when Cy appears later with a new girlfriend, Jonah recognizes the corpse to be a neighbor who came by to try to help Diana Rhea clean her home years earlier! In the end, Marilyn and George find out that Diana Rhea consciously chose to become a hoarder because she was a big fan of their show. Another show first.
