Synopsis/Details
"STINKING BADGES" delivers a wild ride through the chaotic lives of Officers Mitchell Briggs (think: Bruce Willis, Nick Offerman, Mickey Rourke, or Ron Perlman) and Scott Sampson (think: Pete Davidson, Chris Pratt), two cops with no business wearing a badge. The aging and debaucherous Briggs, paired with the brash and entitled Sampson, stir up trouble, contributing to the negative press surrounding their already beleaguered police department. When Captain Fareed Hosain hires a PR team, led by Laura Lawson, to salvage their reputation, the duo's attempts at community events hilariously backfire, generating even more bad press.
Facing the imminent shutdown of their department, Briggs and Sampson's lives take an unexpected turn after a botched drug deal. When they accidentally apprehend a prominent drug and sex syndicate member, their stunt becomes a media sensation, momentarily restoring public favor. However, as the city council contemplates the department's fate, the two officers find themselves targeted by the dangerous syndicate. A dramatic confrontation at a charity baseball game reveals their pasts and the Syndicate's deadly vendetta, forcing Briggs and Sampson to confront the consequences of their actions.
Amidst protests, cartel attacks, and internal strife, Sampson and Briggs's redemption journey takes unexpected turns, culminating in a Medal of Valor award ceremony. However, the imagined happy ending crumbles as public outrage leads to their disgraceful expulsion from the force. In the aftermath, the former officers, struggling to make amends, share a moment of reflection that gets interrupted by the ghosts of their past, leading to a final, chaotic pursuit symbolizing the repercussions of their actions.
