Synopsis/Details
Brandi Rogers awakens to find herself trapped in total darkness. Feeling along the concrete walls, she pleads for help to no avail. Unbeknownst to her, her kidnapper sits outside of the prison-like room, laughing at her cries for help. Newlyweds, Mike and Jen Thompson are excited about buying their first home together. They couldn’t believe the deal they got for it. They’re so happy that Mike carries Jen over the threshold when they arrive at the house. During one of their first nights there, Jen wakes up startled after hearing what sounded like a woman calling out for help. Mike says it was probably just a cat and they go back to sleep. After that night, so many unexplained events start happening. A few weeks later, Jen begs Mike to fix the cellar door that was sticking. She tells him every time she goes in there, the door slams shut behind her and she has a hard time getting it back open. After much nagging, he fixes the door, with her supervision. After a tornado warning sends them to the cellar, Jen buys emergency supplies and to store in there. She props the door open, but on her last trip in, the door slams shut putting her in total darkness. She suddenly sees a blue light start to glow in the corner of the cellar. Mike gets home and finds her trapped in the cellar, crying. She explains what happened. He’s skeptical. A few weeks later, another tornado warning was issued. Jen was home alone and afraid to go into the cellar. She calls Mike and he convinces her to go. When he gets home, he finds her collapsed on the cellar floor. A few weeks after the funeral, the doctor tells him she had a stress-induced heart attack. A few days later, the neighbor tells Mike about the murder that occurred in their cellar forty years ago. He didn’t know. After researching on the internet, he finds an article about the murder. He decides to go into the cellar. The door slams behind him and the blue light appears, and turns into the apparition of a woman. Pointing a finger at Mike, she sends a lightning bolt toward him. That was the last thing his mortal body remembered. Five years later, Jen and Mike look down upon a young couple so excited about moving into their new home. Jen says they should warn them about the house. Mike reminded her that they didn’t understand the warnings that Brandi Rogers sent and she killed them. Jen says that they’ll just have to do a better job. WGA Registration number: 2246594
