In a remote country house and adjacent barn, a dairy farmer, his wife, and their daughter make their living off the cows they milk. Despite this, the daughter is lactose intolerant and is hated by her father because of it. He subjects her to milk-related punishments in an attempt to cure her intolerance and further suffers from the complacency of her mother.
This comes to a head when the daughter makes a mistake while milking one of the cows. The farmer discovers the error and physically and verbally abuses her until she runs away. She makes it to a friend's house, finds comfort in her friend's presence, and decides to stay for a sleepover.
The next day, the farmer rampages through the friend's house, grabs the daughter, and returns home. He subjects her to further torture at the dinner table and manages to kick the daughter from her chair. She decides to fight back and stabs the farmer in the gut to end the terror.
