After spending 10 years turning himself into a cold-blooded, cold-hearted contract killer, Max Ridley is forced to kill his long-time mentor and only friend, James. This causes him to question his life and profession for the first time in years. To make matters worse, he has to return to his childhood hometown to care for his 9 year old nephew after being informed of his sister having passed in an accident. Once there, he attempts to actually get to know his nephew, while also reconnecting with his high school sweetheart, Allie.
