Synopsis/Details
"The Drug Lord's Babysitter" is written along the lines of such films as "Adventures in Babysitting" and "The Hitman's Bodyguard" and "30 Minutes or Less". The story is about a babysitter named Keisha and a boy named Kevin who's rogue drug operation has just run afoul of the mob. Kevin's plan to take out his enemies goes badly wrong when Keisha's boyfriend, Tommy makes off with a duffel bag filled with drugs and a bomb. Keisha needs to save Tommy, Kevin needs to kill his enemies and the two need to work together to find the bomb. Their journey takes them to wild frat parties, a harrowing death race and a kung fu duel in the lair of a Yakuza boss. As they close in on the bomb, Kevin's enemies close in on him. Keisha wants desperately to save Kevin from himself but all Kevin seems to want is revenge for the death of his friends. If Kevin has a single spark of goodness left Keisha is determined to find it but they'll have to survive first because the mob is coming after them with everything they've got.

The Writer: Early-Ray Mixon

My scripts are wild rides meant for pure entertainment. I love writing the kind of story that takes the audience on a journey. Where strong characters are absolutely put through the ringer. I like action, adventure, science fiction, fantasy and crime related genres. What I write isn't meant to represent a realistic world, educate or push a message. It's meant to be fun! As a writer of color I want to include as much diversity as possible. I like to specify minorities as central characters so that if a film or pilot is made, performers who might otherwise be overlooked will get a better shot. I also sometimes will include specific music cues in my scripts. I understand all of the challenges… Go to bio
