Synopsis/Details
“The Duke” is a one hour drama in the vein of Daredevil/Punisher with a unique Native American/Mexican/New Mexican flavor. It’s about a reluctant modern day warrior in a long line of heroes taking on an international death cult targeting Albuquerque due to its location as a gateway for summoning their ancient death god to bring about the next world (The Fifth Phase). The story unfolds over a number of time periods, but primarily focuses on pivotal days in 2017 and 2021. “The Duke” explores themes of justice outside the system: what it costs those who strive for it, its impact on society, questions of necessity and natural order.
